Gentle Care Doula Service

A Doula is a trained and experienced professional that  provides continuous emotional, physical and informational support during pregnancy, birth and beyond. In the Postpartum period, she provides an extra pair of hands, offering encouragement, support and guidance to new families.

Gentle Care Doula Service was founded in 1993 by Mavis Gewant to provide a variety of services to women and their families in the Mid Hudson Valley Region, including Ulster, Dutchess and Orange Counties. We also offer childbirth education and doula trainings.
